The interest in plants and demand by the local market, as well as the landscaping projects that we have carried out all those years, prompted us to create our own production unit. Today Magistrato is the biggest in Cyprus. More than 230,000tm of work area give birth to more than 5 million plants each year. With European specifications and excellent breading conditions Magistrato proves for more than 20 years that worth's its customers trust.

Magistrato began work mostly by importing from other countries and it facilitated a very small production unit. With time Magistrato became more and more experienced about the growth of plants, it researched and learned details concerning all kinds of plants and the family that belong in, and in parallel it reached the growth of demand.

Today the work of production begins from nursery, the most contemporary nursery in Cyprus. At nursery the seeds are planed and seeded according to the next year program. Then seeds receive a barcode and they enter the 1st phase of seeding where they live in particular conditions of temperature and humidity.

After some time those seeds become young plants enjoying new life. Later they will pass in the second phase.

The second phase of breading is where temperature and humidity are such as the outside conditions (Cyprus) and the young plants get used to life outside the nursery. The plants are prepared in order to be exported and be planted in suitable flowerpots, always depending on the family of the plant.

The 2nd phase of production is separated in units, where the young plants get prepared with barcodes, flowerpots and suitable soil.

These units have their own code and they produce plants of same family that need same way of watering, pruning and in general the same method of growing. A plant family is a plants? natural family. Some known families grown at Magistrato Nursery are conifers, palms, bushes, climbers and cactus, citrus and aloe, evergreen trees, aromatic plants ect.

During growing some plants need to be re-implanted in bigger pots. This changes price as the flowerpot is the main unit of pricing. Production functions all additional work needed for the plants, such as fertilization, spraying, and lopping. Those works are carried out with European specifications.
